Oxfordshire Homeless Movement

On Saturday 7th March, our Project Director, Yvonne, was delighted to attend a charity lunch held by Councillor Dorothy Walker, Chair of Cherwell District Council. This lunch was held in support of OHM and two of our partner charities, Homeless Oxfordshire and Asylum Welcome. 

Yvonne was honoured to speak about our work and publicly thank attendees who donated to the OHM CEO Sleepout last October, in which Councillors Walker, Brant and McClean all took part. The event was a wonderful show of community spirit, with enlightening words from Asylum Welcome, Homeless Oxfordshire and Damascus Rose Kitchen, the latter providing the delicious food for the event.

We are incredibly grateful to Councillor Walker and all who attended for their support. The funds raised from this event will make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness in our county. CEO Sleepout Oxford 2026 will be held on Thursday 8th October. This is an event that allows local businesses to show that they care about homelessness and prove that they want to do something about it.
