Service Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) provides specialist services for refugees, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable migrants. Our UK programmes help people fleeing from war, violence and persecution in countries like Syria, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sudan and Iraq. We help new arrivals in the UK to navigate local services and support them to find employment and gain the skills that will allow them to prosper in the UK.

Key functions & activities offered

Employability Skills Training. Offers services to support refugees and asylum seekers (with the right to work) into employment in the UK. This support includes:

  • one-to-one casework support; and
  • group training opportunities including access to a comprehensive Job Readiness course, which helps individuals find jobs, create excellent applications (including CV and cover letter support), build interview skills, and understand their legal rights in the workplace.
