Coats Campaign to See Homeless Warmer This Winter

When cold weather hits people experiencing homelessness need clean, warm coats to help protect them. Local workplace facilities, PPE and supplies provider Aston & James now want your coats for their #100Coats campaign.
The company—who deliver furniture, branded items and other workplace supplies—have become experts in delivering the goods. For some years they’ve also turned their hand every winter to passing on the unwanted but highly useful clothing item to those in greater need. Again this year, in partnership with OHM, they’re on a mission to make sure all of our rough sleepers have a bit of warmth to get by.
“It’s simple to help,” said Director Darren. “Just dig deep into your wardrobe or cloakroom and donate any clean, warm coats in good condition that you no longer wear.”
Those who already order with Aston & James can take clean coats to their place of work and drop them off at their designated collection point. The company will then collect any donations on delivery of your orders, or when your pile of coats becomes too large to manage. Just remember to mark up any bags with the number of coats inside.

Once collected, they store them until ready to take them to one of OHM's partners for distribution to those who are most in need.
Men’s coats are most in demand, but any coat is welcome.
Attaching a tag or card with a message to the recipient of the coat can also be a way to bring someone greater warmth. The company encourage anyone to do this as another way to help someone through the winter.
