Cost of Living Payments for Low-Income Residents Offered by County Council This November
Oxford, 14th July, 2023
A £450 cost of living payment for some low-income residents is on offer by Oxfordshire County Council this November. About 4,100 Oxfordshire residents stand to benefit.
The payment is for you if you receive only housing benefit (and no other benefits). If this applies, you will not have had any direct help from the national cost of living payment scheme before now.
To apply, you will need to visit a website and enter your bank details on a secure form. The website address and QR code will be listed on a letter. The letter will be sent over the next 4 or 5 weeks. A phone number for people who need support with the process will be given.
The Council expect to make payments directly to residents’ bank accounts. But in some extreme cases, they will provide another payment method.
