Homeless Oxfordshire to Hold Art Exhibition
From 22nd February, 2024
Everyone has potential and anyone can be creative.
That's the message Homeless Oxfordshire are giving as they launch Through Our Eyes —an art exhibition by people experiencing homelessness.
The event is a chance to view life from a different perspective. Specially commissioned artworks created by its residents will be on display. These provide a unique insight into the challenges and joys of daily life as a person experiencing homelessness.
People experiencing homelessness get surrounded by stigma. They often live in an unseen part of the community. They often lead lives that have been shaped by trauma. Homeless Oxfordshire provides an open door. They support people when they need it most. This helps individuals to process their experiences and express their feelings. Its regular art program gives a chance for everyone to be creative. Everyone has potential to create meaningful art.
Visit this unique exhibition and explore the unexpected creativity found in homelessness, see how individuals experiencing homelessness have expressed themselves through art, and get a glimpse of life through their eyes.
