Oxfordshire Homeless Movement
Our Team
We are a small team of volunteers, one paid member of staff, and a steering group—see below. Every penny goes straight to our impact projects, with core running costs paid for by a generous donor.

Chair - Jane
Jane is a Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire. She chairs Youth Challenge Oxfordshire (YoCO) and is much involved in her local village. She has been a school governor for many years and was previously a trustee of Vale House Care Home for Dementia. She served as High Sheriff of Oxfordshire in 2017-2018. Her passion for social justice brought her to us.

Trustee - Neil
Neil is a marketer and market researcher and has held senior roles with Nielsen and Informa PLC. Today he helps companies with marketing data and research and is key to the development of OHM projects and campaigns. On being a Trustee Neil says "I don't know anyone who wouldn't help some experiencing homelessness if they could. The good news is, we can help, whether that's through volunteering (your skills are more useful than you think), or giving. You can make a huge positive difference to someone's life. And that is very rewarding."

Trustee - Annette
Annette, now retired, spent 10 years working for Oxfordshire Community Foundation, latterly as their Deputy Chief Executive. She brings a wealth of experience in charity governance and grant-making together with extensive knowledge of the Oxfordshire charitable sector. Annette also previously worked for a PR company, a publisher and as a PA in the Scotch Whisky industry. She uses her knowledge and skills to underpin OHM’s work with strong governance and strategic thinking.

Trustee - Helen
Helen has held board level leadership roles in the not-for-profit and public sectors across a career spanning housing, social care, health and education. She is experienced in advising on public policy development, in particular in the areas of professional standards, training and regulation. Her last appointment was as the Chair of the Board of Shelter, but she also has wide knowledge of the charity sector in Oxfordshire and is currently a Deputy Lieutenant for the county.
She has always believed in the importance of investing in partnerships, between charities and across sectors, as a powerful way of increasing capacity and opening up new thinking, and is proud to be able to contribute to OHM's commitment to make this approach work in an area as critical as homelessness.

Project Director - Yvonne
Yvonne is a people person with years spent as a School Governor and volunteering at Helen & Douglas House. Linking this up with solid business skills working in the motor industry and earlier studies, she now manages OHM. She wants to put her strengths to good use by helping others. She is indefatigable!
