Oxfordshire Homeless Movement

I want to donate items

When you donate, please make sure items are clean and in good condition. Check items are ones specifically requested. Adding unwanted things can create additional work.

Christmas requests 2024-25

These are coming in. If you are an organisation with specific requests please get in touch.

Aston & James are again running their #100Coats Campaign this year. Find out how you can get a spare coat to someone in need this winter. Men's coats especially are needed.

Botley Bikers would like new fleece blankets, handmade blankets (knitted or crocheted), backpacks (anything larger than child's) in reasonable shape, chocolate oranges and loo rolls. Deliver to the Botley community larder, Thur 1:30-4:30, Church Hall, 81 West Way OX2 9JY or contact Riki to arrange collection.

Crisis Skylight Oxford have a list of items they'd like donated this year. Please take items to the Old Fire Station.

HOHC—Helping Oxfordshire Homeless Collaboration seek something sweet: a small box of sweets, chocolates, biscuits or cake. Something like a chocolate orange or small pack of Roses. Note: these should not contain alcohol and need to be in date until Christmas. Something smelly: a small toiletry set. A simple set containing shower gel and deodorant for men is ideal.
Something warm: a pair of warm thermal lined gloves, scarf, or beanie hat. Plain dark colours are preferred (we already have lots of thermal socks!) Something extra: This might be a small game such as dominoes or cards, a puzzle or adult colouring book and colouring pens, a thermal coffee mug or a combination padlock to keep belongings secure. Something kind: We like to include a couple of signed Christmas cards wishing people well. Local guides and scouts often write these for us but we are always happy to receive more. The message would be a simple, something like "We really hope that you enjoy your gift bag" and signed with a first name. See the Facebook group for a map of drop-off locations. If the donation is large, or you are unable to drop off for any reason, please contact Kay to agree a plan. Ideally HOHC would love to have all the items arriving by 6th December to give enough time to make up the bags.

The Gatehouse seek boxes of chocolates and biscuits—both alcohol free—to give to guests as presents. 150 boxes needed. They also seek new pants, socks, gloves, scarves, woolly hats and toiletries. Donations can be dropped off at The Gatehouse Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10.30 and 5pm. Items should be left unwrapped. The last day for gifts drop-off is the 18th of December. Email them for more information and drop off details or phone 01865 792999. (Poster.)
